The story

Since the dawn of man, our planet has been watched. The reasons for this interest differ from race to race; some merely wish to observe until humanity has evolved to a point where the can introduce themselves without sparking mass panic, while the motives of others are considerably less benign. Not all humans are oblivious to the watchers above and among us. Daniel Carrington, head of the elite Carrington Institute, suspects that rapid technological developments at dataDyne HQ are the results of the corporation taking a dark path to first contact-a path which apparently branches through major government agencies. People are somehow being abducted, animals mutilated. Someone in the stars desperately wants something that we have. Daniel thinks that the grand plan goes deeper than that. The Institute needs to take care of dataDyne before it’s too late. Dr. Carroll has requested a rescue from the Institute. If not, dataDyne will put him through mind conditioning. Ouch. That’s Joanna Darks, codename “Perfect Dark”, cue to get out there. She must get out there before it’s too late. It could decide the fate of the world (Sounds ironic, doesn’t it?).
